Waking up early
« on: August 02, 2012, 14:35:10 pm »
My boy will be 6 months on Tuesday.  We had been having trouble with easy, and are pretty much back on track.  I use to go in and wake him at 7, but the Past few days he's been waking at around 6-630.  I do not feed him at this time, I leave him playing in his crib for a while until he starts crying then I get him and feed him at 7.  I would like that extra half hr to an hr of sleep myself.  I just need ideas as to get him back to sleeping until 7.

Here is our routine

6-630-wake (use to be 7)
7-bf
730-play
915-930-nap
11-1130-bf then solids
130-nap
3-330-bf
330-play
530-4-5oz bottle
530-545-sometimes will nap for half hr
6-630-play
7-bath
730-book and 8 oz bottle
8-sleep
1030 or 11-dream feed

Your days are pretty long with the EW and OT can cause EW.  This is the age where they are working towards dropping that cat nap.  Your first A looks good at about 3hrs.  I would try pushing out that second A to 2h45 so that would make the pm nap around 1:45-2:15 (depending on what time he woke from first nap) then a 6:30/7:00 BT depending on how long the pm nap was.

Would something like that work?

I could give that a try.  I'm just afraid if I put him to bed earlier he will wake earlier.
