had great EASY in the school holidays, but now school is started and it's all going wrong!  Firstly dd3 wakes anytime between 4.45-6am for NF, which is fine but that means when she wakes up for the morning start she's not hungry and so my 3 hr E is up in the air.
Then as I need to leave home at 8.30am for school drop off (and get my kids up at 7.15am to get them ready) and I get home for 9.20am I've no idea what time my dd3 should be up to fit in feed and then also have her home for nap.

(((hugs))) - must be so tricky trying to juggle three!  I haven't BTDT but wonder if your LO will sleep in a sling or pram (or carseat) for her first nap so she can snooze during the school run?  From reading around on the boards I think that's what a lot of 2nd and 3rd time Mummies end up doing.

The 4/5am feed is a common problem.  What you could do is do her first feed of the day part way through her first A time (so AEAS) and then get back on track with the EAS pattern once she wakes from her first nap of the day.

What sort of A time is she managing at the moment?

i also have the school run problem and have tackled the 5-6am feed :( i tend to put my DD in her cot to finish her nap, but i appreciate many babies dont transfer well. If your LO only has a short nap just cut the next A by 20-30 mins to prevent OT amd an OT nap.

Regarding the feed at 5-6 what i did was to slowly reduce the time she fed for and eventually she no longer woke for it!! i think it took about a week for us. i will probably have controversial reactions to my method but it works :)

xx

If you woke her say 7.20ish, would you have time to feed her before you leave for the school run?  Then she'd be just about ready for a nap as you leave, so could nap in the car/pram?  Will she transfer to cot or stay asleep in the carseat/pram when you get home?  If you get a short nap because of the school run you could just make her next A time a bit shorter as pp said (say an hour rather than 1h15) and hope she does a bit longer nap so you can get back on track?

Weaning the 4/5am feed is totally up to you - the method the pp suggested is supposed to work well, though I just put up with that feed until DD dropped it herself.
