Not settling for DH
« on: October 16, 2012, 02:36:52 am »
Things have sort of fallen that hamish won't really settle at bed time, naps or in the night for DH. IT's been a combination of factors- basically DH won't 'feel' like doing bed time and then won't want to get up in the night ::) so i end up doing them all- or most of them. If i'm not there it's ok- but if i am DH does a token effort, then i have to go in. SO- this has to stop!! I am thinking we might wait till christmas when DH is off on teacher's holidays for 5 weeks and doesn't have to get up, and then the pattern will be established. BUT- how do i do it? In the middle of the night say if he wakes- do we just sort of say DH does anything he can to get him to sleep other than get mummy? So hamish is with DH screaming 'MUMMA!' and he just settles him? Thoughts? ideas?

sounds like more DH's issue tbh.

So if you are not there H settles ok?? If so then DH needs to know that some nights as agreed by the pair of you he needs to put in the same amount of effort as if you were not there....
