still going at 16 months.. planning to go till 2 years unless something like you ladies describe pops up... then ill reassess! Might keep it up till pg again as it's just 2 feeds a day and he doesnt get it if i'm not here for some reason.

Still going at 18 months, seems to be quite an emotional need for DS - bonding and as a touchstone when in unfamiliar or challenging situations.

hmm- I think the poll might be skewed- BUT this is a positive result for convincing your DH!! 'I have conducted an international survey and 99% of women surveyed continued feeding past 12 months' ;)

I have been bf'ing or pg for 6.5 years! ::) I fed dd1 until about 14 months and stopped when I was about 10 weeks pg, dd2 was 18/19m (can't quite remember) and ds is 17m with no signs of stopping now. We have been on feeds first thing and last thing for a couple of months, and I see no reason to stop just yet - and he was very clear on the matter on the one night when I tried to put him down without feeding him!

I weaned DS at 17 months and am still feeding DD who is 11 mon. today. I remember DS feeding a lot right after he turned 1 (growth spurt maybe?) then he got sick and BM was all he would take. So he was doing 4 feeds up until 14 months then when we weaned he was down to 2- the morning and BT. HTH!

Hi there,

18m and still going just the last feed at night, it's our cuddle time and love the way when she sees my
Boobs and says milky, she then goes shhhhsss night night :))))

Some days I feel DONE though, but with all the development leaps and SA around this point, I feel it really reassures her.

We will stop when it's right :))

Good luck on whatever you go with
