Want to wean ds off of bfing
« on: October 21, 2012, 18:29:24 pm »
Hi moms

Just decided to wean my little man off nursing (16 month old ds feeds twice a day - in the morning and after nap). So cause of medical reasons for myself I need to wean him off soon. Trying to figure out how to do it and which feed to stop first.

His afternoon feed would be easier to drop - i could distract him for that one. Morning feed is something he's more attached to.

thanks mom for your advice

I found it easiest to change the routine -- we weaned right around that age as well and for the morning, it was easier than I had feared.  Instead of getting him up and coming back to my bed, I had dh bring him downstairs and give him breakfast straight away so he wasn't hungry.
