Well we're still going through the walk out situation. Naps are much better though but bedtime is still about half hour walking out. I think we weren't been consistent enough as I was trying lock the gate, close the door, open the door etc. So now it's just quietly walking her back to bed. She's still happy as clam and content to go back to bed on her own once she sees us.

How long do we do this before we try another technique???

One step forward two back I suppose  :-[ last night was hell. My husband works evening shift so it's allllllll me! 2+ hrs to go down, woke half hr after that, 3 hrs after that then up at 6  :-X so probably a total of 8 hrs total sleep. I'm going to put her down for an early nap today and do a 6 he A time before bed and see how it goes. We don't usually get that before bed.

I'm almost desperate for this to disappear. I feel like we have an infant again  :'(

Need serious advice here  :'(  She was up at 6 this am. Was out and about and she catnapped 10 min in car at 1030. Tried nap at 1230 but just fell asleep at 145 with me APOP. How long do I let her nap and what time to bed????? Thanks so much!

I'd let her have 2 hours max - maybe 1.5 so she was awake by 3.30 then do bedtime for 7.30/8.

It's a tricky one - I'm not sure what else to suggest really.

I do think that a really consistent routine for nap times and bedtimes and bed routine in her room *should* help but it's going to take a while - it won't be an overnight change I'm afraid.

{{HUGS}} it's so frustrating.

Laura

Thanks Laura. The most frustrating part is we've ALWAYS been consistent with her nap and bedtime routines. I'm not a 'fly by the seat of your pants" Mom. Never have been. I recalled today that this happened with my son and was equally frustrating. We ended up APOP to sleep and had to do gradual withdrawal. We ended up caving on his home nap at that time as he was napping 3 days a week at pre school. I'm hoping to keep hers but I'm not going to spend 1.5hrs a day on it  :-\   Will let you know how we get on. Thanks again for the support, it's always nice to know someone's listening  :)
