Vomiting feeds
« on: November 11, 2012, 20:38:09 pm »
Hi
Just wondering why... DD (3 weeks old)bringing up a fair bit of her feeds, usually within 20min of feed, in last 2 days. Not every feed but enough to be mildly concerned. Has 1-2 bottle formula( since birth nothing new with it in last few days) in 24hrs but keeping those down!
Any thoughts?
Thanks!!

Hiya,
Maybe an obvious question but do you wind him well after the feed?
Does he seem uncomfortable or cry a lot or is it just spitting up with not a lot of 'stress'?
xx

Hi thanks
Gets wind up about once per feed in between breasts, I do try about 3 times but usually only burps once. I'm wonderingbifvits reflux, have read the info here on it, but her symptoms seem very inconsistent.. Doesn't happen with every feed, happened with 2 feeds today( breast milk) and crying quite a bit half hr or longer after the feed.

How's your let down?  Do you find that the milk comes squirting out fast (like a fire hose?) -- sometimes that can be hard for a baby to keep up with and can cause them to bring feeds up.
