EASY and scheduled activities.
« on: December 14, 2012, 23:17:35 pm »
Sorry if this is a duplicate, I thought I posted but it hasn't shown up. I want to start with the EASY schedule for my four month old. My question is about having scheduled activities that don't fit into the scheduled timeline. For example, we have fitness class twice a week from 10:30-11:30 and then our classes on other days are 9-10 and 11:15-12:15.  What's the best way to incorporate the EASY schedule into an active week?

Thanks.

just realized how this could read.  we only have one pre-scheduled activity per day that we've registered for.  the problem is that they're at various times.

Hi hon, It did come up twice so i've (hopefully) deleted the other one...

It can be tricky. Are the activities for the other children or for yourself and your LO.. You might need to consider if you need to be doing all of the activities. OR you can try something like encouraging shorter naps in the morning around the activities and hoping for a longer nap in the morning. Generally though if you have one day out and about it's good to try to have a day at home. On the days out it;s hard to stick to a routine so you can do the best you can on those days, but on your day at home really concentrate on having the A times and naps at a regular time.

Thanks for the reply,

the classes are for me and for the LO, the fitness for me and the other ones are music and swimming for the LO.  I think I'd go crazy with a house day after an activity day, we do something out every day.  I'll just have to work it in as best as possible.

thanks

it can be tricky with stuff every day- you might find you can have a bit of a flexible routine in the afternoon and the morning being more on the go.
