You might find this helpful Average A times and "Is my baby ready to increase A time?"

Also - for your lily pie ticker you need to copy and paste the BBCode ;)

hi, I have a 3 wo one too :)

for us it's around 1 hr from the moment she calls for me until I put her back to sleep [which takes 15~20 minutes, then she naps 45min~1,5hrs or even longer if on the go, but I try to wake her so that she doesn't really miss feeding time too much, she's breastfed].

If I try to put her down sooner than after 1 hr, she'll just take longer to fall asleep.

BUT all babies are different so you really have to watch for the tiredness signs. It might even be that your Lo can only handle feeding and nappy change. You might want to try putting him down sooner, before he yawns and see if it helps him nap longer.

Anyway, it's a struggle at this age ;) some of our naps are great but most of the evenings are terrible [she gets overstimulated by her daddy and big sister ;) ] so if you're having a bit of a hard time, don't worry, it gets better :)

Hi ladies - new poster here. My little girl is 5 weeks old. Roughly having 60 - 75 mins A time. She is also getting overstimulated in the evening time. I hadn't thought about it but I guess like you Monarch her little brother is contributing to this. She cries/fusses a bit before she finally drifts off - I presume that's normal? Am happy with the way daytime is progressing so far but really must sort out evening time. That being said I know Ds was the exact same at around 5-6 weeks so I'm not too worried.

wifetobe- sure it's normal, don't worry.  Mine doesn't whine/cry before drifting off, she screams her head off ;)

Well wacthed for cues today just really quiet and yawned put him in and he didnt fuss. But didnt go to sleep for ages must hav been nearly 45 mins but he didnt cry just looked about him till he went over he woke bang on time for his 10 bottle i know at this age its hard so just taking it one day at a time. He is a very good baby only thing i find is he still taking 3 oz i put 4 in his bottle as he has finished it the odd time. But hoping he will start taking it soon so he is eating more during the day and maybe begen to go longer at night but that way off yet.
