9 week old ot/ut for naps
« on: January 04, 2013, 16:18:55 pm »
Sometimes I get it just right. Other times I either get the 30min or 45min naps. Usually in the same day, as I think I try to change something and result with the exact opposite. Lol.

When counting A times - do u include the time it takes for LO to fall asleep? I .e. 8 week old E at 7.15. A 7.40-8 or &.10 then nap??? Seems like a short play time but it never takes her less than 20-30mins to fall asleep? Am I on the right track with that thought? I'm only now going to start paying closer attention cause watching her cues gave me such random results

Sorry and one more thing - only because I'm trying to determine the ot/ur thing: example: I started putting LO down for a nap at 8. At 8.20 she Just fell into a light sleep. At 8.40 was the first time I could leave the room as she fell into a deep sleep and stopped jolting. So what counts as the start of the nap?

Have you seen this?

Is my baby ready to increase his ‘A’ time? (incl. 'A' times for younger babies)

A time include everything from eyes open to eyes shut. So as long as eyes re shut it counts as sleep :) Los go in and out of light and deep sleep.

FYI 30 min naps are OT and 45 min naps are UT...hth?
aishi :)
