2 yr old EW's & Going to bed too late
« on: March 07, 2013, 02:15:48 am »
My 27 month old DS has always been an EW (6:15ish), but great napper and would go to bed easily at 7:30 without a fight. Over the past few months though he has been waking from his 2 hr nap with what I feel are bad dreams and I have to resettle (naps from 1-3) and his bedtime which use to be 7:30 has become later and later and he is taking longer to fall asleep...like 8:45 PM by the time we hear silence on the monitor.  Even more recently, he has been waking at 5:15 in the morning and his nap i getting a little shorter...more like 1.5 hrs.  How should I be adjusting his schedule to ensure he is getting enough night sleep?

I would try cutting the nap back to 1.5 hours max first and see if that helps - do it for at least a week though.
