tanking up and falling asleep
« on: January 11, 2013, 00:53:47 am »
We have been trying to do EASY with our newborn (now two weeks old). Specifically, we are trying to do cluster feeding or "tanking her up" in the evening. She generally feeds every three hours with the last feed at 4pm then cluster feeds at 6 and 8 and a dream feed at 10:30. She is a great breastfeeder, but after her 4pm feed she is super sleepy and we can barely rouse her for feeds at 6 and 8. Is this normal?

Yes:) We had the same issue at the beginning. Actually I think DD slept through the first 2 months of her life and we found it difficult to rouse her for every feed with the cluster feeds being the most difficult.

What PP said ;)
You'll probably find that she 'wakes up' in the next couple of weeks :)
