Hello, am new to this forum or any other forum😁am a Ftm to a beautiful baby girl. She is 8.5 wks today and am ebf. I hav no idea how to get started. i need help! She sleep alright in her cot at nite, no problem at all and lately she been sleeping 6 hrs but i think thats because she is not sleeping during daytime. I have been desperately trying to get her to sleep on the bassinet (she sleep on me) during daytime. The past 2 days i have managed to get her to sleep on the bassinet (3x) but it only last 40 min max. I kno how important it is that she gets her nap during the day that is why I succumb to letting her sleep in my arms in the afternoon. I only started the 3 hrs routine this week and i already see a pattern the only problem is getting her to sleep in the bassinet and for longer period of time. Please help... Thanks in advance

Welcome :)  Have you seen this link to help you get started?

Starting EASY - all you need to know and more!

At this age you should be aiming for LO to be awake for about 1hr15-20 before the next nap - this includes everything from eyes open to eyes closed again, so feeding, any activity, wind down and settling time. Is my baby ready to increase his ‘A’ time? (incl. 'A' times for younger babies)   As Aishi said, if you post your EAS routine, we can see if it needs a bit of tweak.

Do you have a wind down routine for naps? What does a good wind down consist of (Includes 4S ritual)

There's also a mental development leap around 8 weeks that can interfere with naps. I can clearly remember my LO's lovely long naps going completely out the window at this age - it's when I found BW too ;) http://www.thewonderweeks.com/index.php/about-the-wonder-weeks/your-babys-10-leaps/mental-leap-2
