4wk old doesn't sleep after bath till 9pm

I am wondering if it's normal for baby this young to be overwhelmed by bath to fall asleep.
I shush and pat and feed after 1.5hr repeatedly until 9pm.
Is there anything I could do to not overstimulate him?

He could be overstimulated by the bath- some bubs are just so easily razzed up at this age! Can you offer the bath earlier in the day for a few weeks? After a very short time really he should be able to have the bath in the BT routine and it be relaxing for him.
