Hello!
I am a first time mom to my daughter who is 12 weeks old.
In my opinion, she's been a pretty good sleeper. She's usually sleeping by 8:30/9 with 1 or 2 NW. We are up for the day at 6/6:30. My question is, should I be feeding her at every NW still, or should I be trying to shush/pat her to sleep? (And how do you do that when they sleep on their backs?)
For more detail:
We start our bedtime routine at 8pm. I usually suck the snot out of her nose, zip her up into her halo sleep sack, turn on her Jewell CD, and feed her in her room. (She will only take about 3.5 oz at a time.)
Usually by 8:30/8:45 she has fallen asleep and I put her in her bassinet by my bed. She will wake up and fuss a little before falling back to sleep. We do keep white noise going all night long - a rain storm.
Then, she might waken once at around 3-3:30, or twice at 12am and 3am. I usually let her fuss for 15-20 minutes until she starts crying before I pick her up, take her out to make her bottle. Then, we go back into her room to eat and rock back to sleep. A usual NW lasts 20-30 minutes for us. At night she might take anywhere from 2 - 4 oz.
She does not use a pacifier at night. I've tried, but it won't stay in her mouth, and then she wakes up mad for it.
I can provide more details if that would help!
I really appreciate any help!!!
Thanks,
Chloe's Mom
