Hi there,
I'm not sure if this is a nap problem or a NW one. I have previously posted on the NW forum and Erin gave me some really good advice. I have 6.5 month old twin boys and their routine is as follows:
A - 7am (6oz bottle)
- 8am breakfast (they are not taking to weaning very well - one is OK, but the other is refusing all solids)
S - 9:30
A - 10/10;15
E - 11 (7oz bottle)
- 12 - try offering food - generally rejected
S - 1pm
A - 2/2:30 (have to get them up at 2:30 anyway to collect daughter from nursery - sometimes they sleep again in the car)
E - 3:30 - 4 depends on time I get back from pick-up - 7oz
S - 5 - 30mins max - I wake them in case they won't go to sleep at night
E - 6:30 - 7oz
Bed - 7
They still have a 10pm feed (7oz) and wake for it and still have about 2oz at about 2:30 - 3am
I feel that their day can be disrupted and I have to wake them, which I don't like doing, but have little choice. In all they're prom getting 2.5-3.5 hours sleep per day. Do you think it's too little? I could try to give them 2 sleeps of 1.5 - 2 hrs and cut out catnap, but how would that affect feeding times and I would have to disturb the pm one at some point for nursery pick-up (which can take up to an hour). They're big boys have slept through a couple of times, but when one wakes so does the other. I think I'll tackle one thing at a time though...
I'd be grateful for any help on this one!
Helen
