Food flinging!!
« on: January 16, 2012, 17:34:13 pm »
Ds2 is 14 months old and is food flinging at every meal now and it's getting ridiculous. It's not at the end of a meal it could be before he's even taken a bite! He gets a warning then the bowl/plate gets taken away and he gets 1 piece of food at a time and then if he continues I just get him down from the table. Ds1 is going through a really picky phase and this provides him with the perfect distraction to get down from the table while I'm clearing ds2's food up -again!! I need some strategies because this isn't working for me anymore - mealtimes are a complete disaster. He even does it with things he likes eating. He's got all his molars and I know his canines are on the way but still we need to do something to solve this!

My DS does the same thing except he is 12 months old!!! I read the link you posted but at this age are they old enough to understand that whole concept of meal over/no throwing??
