DS will be 13 mo in a few days. We still nurse pretty often, typically 6ish times a day. Just in the last week he has stopped getting up for an early feeding at like 3-5 am and sleeps 10-11 hours straight. Then we feed every 2-3ish hours throughout the day.

I just started tracking temps, CP, CM, etc. this month and am on CD 25 and don't think I have ovulated yet. I would like to become pregnant in a few months but also think it is going to take that long (or maybe longer) to wean DS. I would like to try and have him weaned by 15 mo..if I can become pregnant without weaning, maybe I won't wean him so soon but at more like 18 mo or when he is ready.

Anyways, when did you get your first PPAF?
Do you remember if you ovulated right away or was it not until you drastically reduced or totally weaned?

It seemed like I ovulated after my first PPAF (SEW CM on CD 18 and 19), but have yet to see that this month. Also my first cycle was 41 days, which I was more of a 35 day average before having DS.

My period has always come back around the 4/5 month mark when I was breast feeding.  I'm assuming I was ovulating during that time.  There are def people on here who have got pregnant again before having an AF.  Guessing it depends on the person and individual bodies though as what happens for one may not happen for another.

By the sounds of it after has already returned? I'd think you are ovulating then. Both the second and third time I got pregnant I was still bfing.

I got mine back pretty much when I weaned with all 3 -- however, when dd1 stopped nursing, I pretty much went straight into being pregnant with dd2 without really having AF, so definitely ovulating.  The lesson - if you don't want to be pregnant yet, be careful.  Otherwise, good luck!
