2-1 nap help
« on: February 24, 2013, 14:34:39 pm »
Hi everyone... It's been a long time since I've posted but could do with some help. I've looked at the FAQs and can't find an answer. My DS is starting the process of needing to move to one nap, and we have scenario 3 where he takes his morning nap with no problem and then won't go down for an afternoon nap 4 out of 7 days at the moment. I've tried cutting the morning nap down to an hour as suggested so that this would switch to scenario 1 or 2 where u cold start moving the morning nap but its bit working. It makes NI difference! He still won't go down in the afternoon so he ends up being really over tired even with a 5.30 bedtime, then after a couple of days early waking waking starts so he then is tired enough to take both naps has a normal bedtime and then the next day the cycle happens again!

Any tips? Should I just start moving the morning nap??

EASY is:
6.30 wake
7.30 breakfast
9 nap (if left 1.5hrs)
10.30 snack
12/12.30 lunch
1.30 nap (if he sleeps 1.5-2 hrs)
3/3.30 snack
5 supper
6.30 bed

Hi hon- the ticker doesn't seem to be working to show your LOs age- although i can see a very sweet little BFing bubba!

How old is your LO?

I would suggest cutting that morning nap RIGHT back to say 40 mins or even as far as 20 mins. Then you can have a PM nap at about 1 and he SHOULD take it! We always had the AM nap very short.
