Nap extensions and when to wake up
« on: March 09, 2013, 19:08:14 pm »
DD is 16 wks old. Sometimes I have luck extending DD's naps past 30-40 min mark (yay!) and then past 1hr20 - 1h30 mark as well, and sometimes she ends up napping 2+ up to 2.5. My question is whether I should cut it off at 2 hrs or let her sleep because whenever she wakes up and I am extending her naps with shh/pat and she could be awake for 10 min at a time each time, so she's not really sleeping for all of 2.5 hrs.

At this point I would let her sleep tbh. Once she is not needing to be extended, if she is then napping 2.5 hours you may need to cap but for now go with it x

Thank you! I felt like that's what she needed because of being awake in the middle but just wanted to make sure :)
