Weaned breastfeeding 3 months ago and producing odd fluid?
« on: March 02, 2013, 16:48:20 pm »
I have stopped breastfeeding since December. Everything went well and my LO transitioned well. However I have a question about my breastmilk. I am still producing a clear fluid almost oil like fluid after I express (small amounts) and the very last bit is almost colustrum tinged. Is this normal?

Yes is the simple answer, completely normal.  I was still able to express a little before I conceived my DD.  My DS had stopped BF around 2y before that :)

No, I don't, sorry, but I do know Jack Newman has just started doing a study on this exact topic :)
As always, if you are worried, you can always seek medical advice from your GP
