he is waking at night every 2.5 hours but he isn't necessarily hungry I put the paci in and he falls back asleep
This sounds like it could be a prop issue but there are lots of gs in the early weeks so it could be that too.  Have you tried feeding for the first wake-up?  If you have, how long did he last after that?

I agree - could be the paci is becoming a prop.

I know six months seems an age away but honestly, you will look back and this time will have flown.  It's really important to consider yourself in all of this - you'll drive yourself mad if you spend all day every day inside worrying about naps (believe me - been there, done that, and it wasn't worth it!).  Make a conscious decision to go out some days and let LO nap when and where they can.  I found if I made it my 'plan' that it was going to be a rubbish nap day, but I was going to enjoy myself anyway, I always felt better than if I stayed in and naps were rubbish.

Did you have a think about the idea of discomfort or reflux?

I don't think the paci is a prop because he doesn't use it to fall asleep I only use it to get him back to sleep once he is in a deep sleep if it falls out he is fine and doesn't wake up but if it falls out before he is in a deep sleep than he will wake up so not sure if it makes it a prop. When I do feed him at night he can only last 2-2.5 hours and then wakes up again but yet he goes longer during the day. I think because he is so tired at night he doesn't always take a full feed he eats just to take the hunger away but then he falls asleep while eating. As far as the discomfort he did have issues with reflux in the beginning but I think it had more to do with dairy intolerance and oafld which is now completely under control. He isn't waking up crying so I don't think he is in pain. I will try my best to take it easy and not worry so much. I think I would feel a little better if he would just sleep better at night. Thank you for your help
