Help with 8 weeks baby who sleeps too much during the day
« on: April 02, 2013, 12:02:12 pm »
Hi girls. I'm trying to implement EASY with my 8 weeks baby, however, most of the times after feeding him he falls asleep again. Normally I change him, play music, do whatever to wake him up, but at least twice during the day nothing works and he sleeps really heavy until the next time to feed. And during the night he keeps waking up every 2:30 hours to be feed and sometimes is more alert than he should be. Any tips on how to make him spend more time alert during the day and sleep through the night? Thanks a million !!!

At 8 weeks your LO will still sleep most of the time - that is normal and will change gradually over the next few weeks.  Things you can do to help ensure a day/night distinction are to keep things bright, not too quiet in the day (natural light helps and getting outside if you can) and then at night keep everything quiet, dark, and minimal interaction/stimulation.

If you are managing to separate E and S even just by a few mins at this age, you are laying some great foundations :)
