A time, 8 months
« on: April 12, 2013, 12:25:17 pm »
Hello, i have a question. My LD is now 8 months and 1 week old. Her A time is in the morning around 3h10 min, but afternoon around 3h30min. Do you watch your LO or just put them to sleep when their A time passes? Do you increase their A time week by week or just let them to do it by themselves by observing them when they show signs? Sometimes she can handle more than 3h30min, do you think this is too much? Sometimes i have a felling that she just does not show any signs of sleepiness..what to do than?

Tnx

It depends a lot on how reliable her sleepy cues are, yk? I mean, if she can go a bit longer than 3.5h A time and still gives a restorative nap afterwards and is not getting OT during that day then I would follow sleepy cues. But if she short naps then it's a sign that her A time was off.
I only increased A time when there was a need, so whenever DS started napping 45min-1:20h long naps which would usually indicates UT.
