Struggling 1-0 OT/UT?
« on: April 18, 2013, 20:29:47 pm »
Hi,

My DS is 2.3.  The last few months we have had the odd day of nap refusal and he has coped fairly well but caught up the next day.  He goes to nursery 4 days a week and still seems to nap at nursery ok.
But this week we have struggled with nw's and getting him to bed at night.
Monday and Tuesday he napped both days and we had NW's around 11.00pm or 12.00pm.  Wednesday we were home and he slept for 15 mins in the car.  He went to bed at 6.45pm and went to sleep straight away and woke at 6.00ish this morning.  He then slept at nursery today from 12.20 - 1.50 and we put him to bed at 7.30pm as he seemed tired but it took until 8.30pm for him to get to sleep.

I'm struggling if he is ready to drop his nap or we are in a OT/UT circle?

Many thanks for any help  :)

Hi there, Do you feel he might be starting to drop the nap? If so, have a read here for some ideas first of all.

The 1-0 transition...Advice and Tips to help you through.

It is not a one day go cold turkey kind of transition so it can take a bit of trial and error to work out what works best for your LO.

Does he have all of his teeth? Any other discomfort?
