Just started chewing paci..

Emily just started chewing her paci tonight and has bitten chunks off of three of them in the last 30 minutes. I don't have any new ones to give her but obviously don't want to give her something she's going to chew pieces off of and possibly choke. She is a paci addict. What do I do Jist cold turkey right now with no prep? She's 21 months...

And if she doesn't have a paci, she chews chunks off the inside of her cheek

Oh yikes! No idea hun, sorry! Do you have a hard rubber teether that you could give her to chew on?

She won't chew on anything other then her cheek or the paci. The paci used to only be in her bed but then she started chewing on her cheek to the point it wasn't healing and the doctor told us to just let her have her paci if it made her stop. So she had it lots now. I cut the end off of it last night so she couldn't actually chew pieces off but she hardly slept at all This is horrid timing as we are moving to a new city in two weeks and everything is going to be different for her. And she's destroying her cheek again.

She pretty much always chews. No other signs of teething but I can never say never.

yikes well I thought maybe if she was teething it would be a temporary thing.  its too bad she wont take a teething ring instead

Would she use something like this? We have a couple and they are hard and tough like a teether but shaped sort of like a soother. I got them for Masyn during a huge oral phase to encourage her to chew on that rather than her socks or shirt.

Oh I haven't seen those before. She might go for something like that...

I actually put her to bed tonight and she handed her paci's to me and says "suckies broke" "garbage". So I took them and she went right to sleep! So we will see.

Umm..... It wasn't great. She does however know that her suckies are gone now. So it will probably take a little bit. She has been saying all morning that suckies broke and suckies garbage so at least it's better then them just disappearing

She's still chewing on them It's not bad yet But took a few days last time before it was bad. I'm not really sure what to do about it.. Going to look for some of those teether toys but I kinda doubt she will chew on them..

what if she sucks on a blanket corner or something else instead? does she have any other lovies in bed with her?
