Totally sounds like molars hun... you might not even feel them right now to be honest... the buggers shift around a lot before they break through! That said, babies generally open their mouths if you tip them backwards

I used to sit DD on my lap (with her feet at my belly and her bum on my knees), tip her back with one of my hands and tell her to look at the roof - then sneak a finger or two into her mouth while she was gazing at the roof!
