8 week old - still on a 2-hour feeding schedule
« on: June 17, 2013, 21:47:05 pm »
Hi there!

Any tips on how to stretch a 2-hour schedule to a 3-hour? We do the EAS, but just in 2-hour increments instead of 3. I am breast feeding and DS is hungry every 2 hours like clockwork!

Thanks in advance!

Hi there, is your Dd taking full feeds when she does feed? It wouldn't be unusual for BF babies to need shorter periods of time between feeds at this age. I would suggest trying to follow the basic EAS pattern for now and not worry too much about the timings for now. The most important thing is to try not to feed to sleep. If you'd like us to have a look at your day, please post in anEAS format, eg:

WU & E: 7am
S: 8am
E: 9am etc
