Hi everyone!
I'm really struggling with 2-1 transition!! Can anybody help by posting their 12 month old's current daytime/nighttime sleep routine? I'm so confused at the minute. LO currently 12 months. About 2 months ago started EW at 5/5:30 and becoming more difficult to put down for afternoon nap so figured he was heading towards 2-1 transition. I have been trying since then to gradually move his morning nap later and cut it down so that he will take an afternoon nap but I am now in a horrible OT cycle because of it. Today I have given up and have let him sleep and sleep without waking him because nighttimes have been horrible recently - lots of inconsolable screaming!! But before today here is an example of what EASY was looking like:
Wake - 5:30
E - give bottle and try for an hr to get to go bk to sleep usually unsuccessfully
A-5:30-9:45
S-9:50-10:20 (wake after 30min)
E/A-10:20-13:30
put down to sleep at 13:30 but often takes 30min to go to sleep - alternate chatting/crying, then only sleeps 1 hr
S-2-3
A-3-6 - having to put to bed at 6/6:30 as exhausted by this stage but often too late and already OT. Most days impossible to put to bed any earlier though due to work.

So as you can see I have got stuck in the middle of 2-1 transition and now dont know whether to go backwards and give him a longer am nap again or to keep shortening am nap to try to get a good pm one?!! Terrified of making the ot worse though! Also I have no idea now whether I am way behind other 12 month old schedules...are a lot of 12 month olds already on one nap??...As we have never really moved past the 10 month old sleep routine...

What would really help I think is if I could see what some other 12 month olds are doing in terms of sleep?

Living in hope of a 'lie in' till 7!!!

Thankyou for any help/advice?!! ???

My ds1 was sleeping 8-8 at night and 12.30-3.30 for nap. He was my high sleep needs one.
Ds2 was sleeping 10.15-11.45am and 3.20-4pm for naps with nights 7.30pm until anything between 5-6.45am wake up. I was often feeding him back to sleep at 5.30am but he didn't always go back over. Pushing BT to 7.30 rather than 7 did help get him back to sleep as did keeping that first nap later as if he had woken at a more reasonable time to start the day. He stayed on that routine until we moved to one nap at 15mo which was generally around 12.30pm for 2-2.5hrs and his nights were a more reliable 7.30pm-6.45am sttn.
Most LOs will move to one nap between 12-18mo so our LO is right at the start of the age range. So it's possible but she is at the younger end.

Can you let her have a long morning nap and then AP a CN in the Afternoon?

Hi we are 12 months and we are WU usually around 6:30 but i also often feed back to sleep around 5:30 (sometimes she goes back down, sometimes not).

Our nap is usually around 11:30 for 2.5hrs then BT 4.5/5hrs later, on CM days its nap 12:20 for 2hrs then BT 4.5hrs later.

If she is really tired we do 20 min CN around 10 then long nap at 12:50 then BT 4.5hrs after WU

Could you not stop capping the first nap and see if he will sleep a few hours and cap the afternoon nap? We do a 2 hour morning nap and a catnap but often skip the catnap? Just wondering if your only getting a 1 hr nap because he's OT by this point leading to OT at bedtime
