5 week old, going ages between feeds?

Just a quick question about whether this within the normal realm. E is EBF and has now at nearly 5 weeks put herself on a 4 hour bf routine and sleeps at least 11/11.5 hours at night, no df, no nf. I have serious oversupply so not really worried about my milk but seriously am I just incredibly lucky....do other EBF babies do this? I am totally following her lead and she is peeing/pooping and gaining weight (about 3.5 lbs since birth).  She seems angel/textbook at this point and is sleeping well and waking when she is hungry and draining both of my (overfilled) breasts. 

And yes, you may roll your eyes at this silly third time mom

ummm I never breastfed my girls but my thought would be if it isn't broken leave it alone and enjoy the sleep!

I think I'd just want to keep an eye on supply and be glad for now that things are going so well!!

Well I think your very lucky gaining weight and plenty of wet nappies are good signs.

Yeah I know! Masyn was a good sleeper, Spencer not so good...but this is insane. And I kind of miss those motn feeds...my baby is getting so big so fast!

So dumb question then...besides the obvious lack of wet diapers and weight gain what else does one keep an eye on for a supply issue?

We were in this position Heidi, not quite at 5 weeks but not far after, but it went downhill again from about 12 weeks I think......just a warning

I'm wishing I hadn't opened this thread?! Needless to say I didn't get one of those sleepers but I have a friend whose LO slept through from day 1 and was EBF!

Aww Nicola...was saying to a friend yesterday whose 8 week old is up every 2-3 hours that I wish I could share her good sleep around. (And wow for your friend, that is amazing!).

Yes it will....took three tries for my order to be placed  

I always repeated to myself "this too shall pass"...and eventually it does!  Hard to think of in the moment though (I'm sure there will be payback for this angel baby at some point-probably will be an atrocious teether!)

You've already named the main indicators, Heidi.  And as has been already said, these things are prone to change.  We had around 2w of DD sleeping 7-7 and then it all went wrong again!!
