Help getting back on track
« on: October 03, 2013, 09:02:57 am »
Can I ask for btdt advice after illness how do you go about getting back to 1 nap? He seems happier but still not eating much and can nod off after being up for 3 hours instead of normal 5 ish hours! But then only short naps?
He seems to be wary of eating don't know if he's associated it with coughing and gagging!?x

Hi it was
WU 6/6.30
Nap 11.45 for 1.5/2 hours
BT 7

He had ear infection then 2 weeks later chest infection and high temps! We had night in hospital so getting back the next day he was massively OT then spent 2 days sleeping all the time on us! Now got a cough so that's disrupting stuff!

He's 16 months old.

We've been on 2 naps again I've been trying a CN around 10am for 20 mins then nap 1pm which yesterday was 2.5 hours! Nights ok with odd coughing WU!

His A time is down to about 3.5/4 hours so not sure how I push it to what it was!?

When I push put for my DD unusually do
It in 15m increments hmd for 3/4dsys and then another 15m, wash and repeat until you're where you want you've.

I think there's one of two ways you could go his. A bigger jump to your CN, say 10.30
In the 1st instance and see how long her naps for - if it's decent, EBT to
Avoid a too long afternoon to BT iykwim? The. Gradually push the nap out. That way you rule out the CN /2nd nap altogether compensating With EBT until you get back to
A decent nap time. OR perhaps try an UT nap I'm the first
Instance followed by a normal nap. Di dome thing like:

WU: 6/).30
CN: 9.30  capped at 20m
Nap: 11.45
BT: 6.55

What do you think?

Hi, thanks I'll give it a go and see what happens! He's back at nursery Monday so won't get to nap till 12 noon but he copes better there with all the activity going on!
Now he's started eating again I'm hoping he will have more strength to stay up x

Wow....things really have been rough for you two :(.  Hopefully as he recovers he'll go back to being that fabulous independent sleeper and he'll get into a good routine.  I'll be following along to see how things for for you!
