2y 3m so so so upset at bedtime

Anyone else been through this? Is it an age thing? She's distraught. And it's every day! Something about the transition, no matter how well we prepare her, is just so upsetting for her.

Hi Anna!
Yes we went through a similiar thing at this age, as did many other mamas with 27m olds at around the same time. With R after lots of reassurance, and having to stay with her (pretty unheard of) to fall asleep and nap and bed time I did end up doing WU/WO to fix it. It did work so may be worth a shot?

We also had NW and EW around this age to compound things

I (as did others) tweaked until I was all tweaked out to no vail. The solution in the end was ride it out and keep everything crossed it passes as quickly as it arrived

Hugs Anna, I am just holding on and riding it out right now, every night she loses it a bedtime but calms down within 10 mins, the nwings and ewings are still going on so like I said I am just holding on and hoping that it ends soon.
Also Lyssa won't nap everyday anymore, every other day, how is Aubrey's napping going?

Most days she naps, anything from 1-2hrs. She skips rarely, once per fortnight or less.

Thanks you guys, always reassuring to know others have been through the same thing at the same age. Hena she's pretty much OK once she's in bed - she asks me to stay stay but I can get out the room pretty quickly using some kind of GW and popping back for a quick kiss if she's upset. It's the whole  bedtime routine which is super stressful. We have cut down on giving her choices about anything at that time, as it was just increasing her distress, but she basically starts to sob and cling to her dad as soon as she gets a hint that it's nearly bedtime. I daresay it's worse because she sees her big brother isn't going to bed yet, she probably thinks we're all having a great time without her, dancing and eating rainbows and riding unicorns.

lol  ;D

Ev is upset at every bedtime too...but for her it's been going on forever.  I think it is just riding it out though - I remember Ben being like it at this age, and would cry and cry - some sort of SA/growing awareness  of the world etc.
