Wow so tonight has been a mess!! I stupidly let her sleep til 7 making it an hour and half nap, thinking that I didn't want to reinforce the short naps by waking her! I tried to put her to bed at 8.30 but clearly not tired enough, tried again at 9.30, having none of it and in the mean time she's decided she wants feeding so am giving her her dream feed awake- what a disaster!!
So I've worked out a few things today- A time is definitely 2.5 hours, the room isn't dark enough during the day so I've put a blanket over her cot and clipped it to the edges, looks like a tent for a baby!! I also have a feeling short 2nd nap was due to her not being warm enough bizarrely, as the heating was on during 1st and 3rd nap but not 2nd, perhaps she is a very sensitive baby when napping (and she takes after her mother as it needs to be both warm and dark for me to sleep well!)
So looking ahead to tomorrow, I'm trying to figure out how I can fit in naps and still get a decent bt. She normally wakes at 8 or 8.30 which is great for me, but not so great for fitting everything in!! By now should she be having 3 naps? She dropped the catnap a while ago, but should the 3rd nap have been a catnap? That would make her day look something like this-

E- 8
A- 8.15-10.20
S-10.30-12
E-12
A-12.15-2.20
S-2.30-4
E- 4
A-4.15-6.30

Though if she then had a catnap here it's too close to bt? Argh!!

That's great, it sounds like you're getting there :) I agree with weaver I would've woken her to preserve BT but at least you know now if she sleeps late in the day again!

Yes, at 5 months you would expect 2 full naps and a CN.  Wrt your routine above, if you want to keep BT at 8pm I would try to APOP the last nap a little early and keep it short so that she's tired enough at BT.  But tbh most babies need a longer day to fit the 3 naps in so you might need to push it later (or wake her earlier in the morning so she still goes to bed at the same time) until she's ready to drop down to 2 naps and then the day is likely to get shorter again.

Fx the warm, dark, and right A times get you some good naps :)
