Oh and I forgot to mention, sometimes DS only sleeps for 30 mins. I know that means he is OT. Sometimes 45-50 mins. From other posts it has been suggested maybe babies are UT. But I don't think DS is. I guess I just have to wait a little longer for his naps to consolidate themselves. at the moment, DS is 5 months 1 week old.

I think probably looking at your days I would push out the first A time to putting him in the cot at maybe 2h15-30. I think he's UT when you put him down at 2h, so is fighting. Maybe try 2h15 for a few days, then bump it to 2h30 fairly quickly if he's still fighting a lot. If PUPD hasn't really succeeded over a couple of weeks, when you've been consistent (as you have) then the routine probably isn't right.

I agree some of those 45/50 minute naps later in the day are probably OT due to bad naps earlier on so if anything I would shorten A times a bit as the day goes on.

Thank you.
You are absolutely right about the first A time. I experimented a little yesterday. I tried to put him down after seeing him rubbing his eyes. At that time it was only at 2 hours mark. But he fought and fought. Eventually he didn't go to sleep until around 3 hour mark. And because he was so tired I was able to extend his nap to 1 hr 20 mins by patting him through the first sleep cycle. This morning I put him down at 2 hour 35 mins mark. He tried to go to sleep by himself but wasn't able to  so started fussing after 15 mins. I went in and shush pat only 2 mins literally and he fell asleep with no pu/pd. And again I was able to extend his nap because he went to sleep tired enough (2 hours 55 mins mark).
Yesterday afternoon, I put him down at 2.5 hr mark he went to sleep by my shush pat method within 2 mins but was then wide awake after 35 mins. So I was just thinking, maybe 2.5 hrs might be a little short for him?

It could well be. We were up to 3h A time and done with the 3-2 nap transition by the time DD turned six months x
