« on: September 13, 2014, 08:24:21 am »
Hi.
My 10 and a half mth old baby used to sleep until 8am. Now its 6 and I need it back the way it was.
Her routine is like this:

7/8am wake
12pm nap (can last for 1 or 2 hours)
2pm wake
6pm ten mins quick cat nap
8.30pm bed

Where are we going wrong? Thanks for reading

Looks like if your lo has had that routine for a while you could be ready to drop that CN? - can you do EBT at all as on 1 nap your day would probably look more like this
WU 7
Nap 11.30/12 for 2 hrs or so
Bt 6.30-7

What do you think?

Hi thanks for your reply. That bed time would be too early as we would be getting the others ready or bed and sometimes there is tantrums etc so I'd be afraid they would waken her. 8pm bed or after is good.

Could you help me put that into her routine? May not work? X

You can really shift the day based on WU but really once on 1 nap usually LOs need a 11.5-12.5 hr day max or they get OT.

Your pm cn is just so short I wonder if it's causing a bit of chaos. :-\ have you gone a 1 nap day before? Do you know how long she can last on 1 nap days A time wise?

Yes she's not too bad. Today was

8am wake( she would have slept on only we all had to get up for school) :-(
12.30-2.20 nap
8pm bed.

Will just take it one day at a time nd see?

That looks like a good day Hun. You do often have to play it a bit by ear when your really close to 1 nap. Do some 1 nap days and some 2 nap ones on not so great days ;)

Thanks. Appreciate your reply. Done the same today and so far ok. She woke at 8am, went for her nap at 12.30 but woke at 1.20 so i had to help get her back to sleep and then woke her at 2.30pm. no afternoon nap andbthen bed at 8pm?

How does  that sound? Why would she wake in the middle of her nap? She does be very ready for it so I don't think she's under tired? Strange x

Looks good but I would let her sleep up to 3 hrs rather than waking after 2 ;) keep bt no later than 8 or she may get OT

My boys wake mid nap in developmental patches, teething or if OT/UT. Sometimes. She may be a touch OT so just keep resettling gher back to sleep so she gets used to it and doesn't get to OT.

Yes she's teething. So let her nap from 12.30 untill 3? Then bed at 8pm? That sounds good x
