15mo EW- please help
« on: September 17, 2014, 09:49:15 am »
Hi everyone,

My DD has always been a good sleeper and on a good routine.

Until a few weeks ago, her routine was:

Wake: 6am
Nap: 12-2pm (sometimes earlier)
Bed: 7pm

Recently, she started waking at 5am but coped well with two hour nap and we just put her to bed a little earlier. But EWs are getting earlier and earlier. Today it was 4am!!

I've tried keeping her on one two hour nap per day, but the last few days she has done something like this:

Wake: 4-5am
Nap: 9.30am (times vary but she's had 1.5 so far. Can't keep her awake! So tired)
Cat nap: 2.30-3pm
Bed: 7pm

Feel like it's a viscous circle as she needs two naps when EW but really want to get back to one nap to stop the EW

I'm at a loss as to what to do? No signs of teething or illness.

Please help

Hi!

Firstly, I am so sorry that your post was missed. How are things now/been for the last few days?

Thanks for your response, Hena. She's been a bit better. Up at 5.40 yesterday but then 7am today- although she was up through the night as she'd vomited. Not sure if it's related to her being poorly as she's been getting up early for a few weeks now.

Do you think a two hour nap is too long during the day?

Thanks

Naps have been much closer to lunch time over the past few days. X
