How much sleep for 2.5yo?
« on: October 04, 2014, 03:44:43 am »
Just wondering how much sleep, on average, your LOs are/were getting around 2.5yo? Wondering hours over 24 hrs?

DD had been doing 11-12 hr nights and napping 3-4 times a week, so naps have been hit or miss for a while now. BT has been around 9pm for ages. After having DS, she's been waking at 7 now, even when she has NWs. Wondering if the 10 hrs is enough, esp on days without a nap. She seems to be adjusting to the earlier WU as her behavior is good on days when she naps. Earlier BT is tough with this one too.

DD1 was getting probably 12 hours, DD2 14-15 (12 hr night, 2-3 hr nap - was done napping by 3/3.5 iirc). DD3 is already only getting 12 hrs sleep in 24 at 13.5 months. How early have you tried bedtime on a nnd?

We tried 8pm tonight, and DH was still in there until 9pm to help her to sleep (she has been really upset at BT a lot lately, so he is trying to stay with her), and today was a nnd plus she had a NW last night. I'm always amazed that she is still fighting sleep that late when she is clearly so exhausted.

Hi my DS is 29 months and is having around 10.5 nights and 1.5 capped nap. Would nap longer but still be up at 9pm.
On a NND I'd try a 11.5 hour day, she's prob fighting BT as OT. We had a night a week ago when DS had only 15 mins nap and I missed EBT as people called round and it was a horror....had to rock DS to sleep he was that OT and that's not happened for months. x

R was having a 1h45m nap (capped) at around 1.15pm and 11.5h at night (12h45m in 24h). BT at 7pm - asleep within 15mins or so. She does border on hsn so may not be your best guage re SNs at this age.

We had some shenanigans that kicked in around 27m that lasted a while which was developmental as opposed to routine. It maybe that is the issue?
