Ok I think I've left this too late! Didn't want to make bath part of BT routine until DD could easily stay up for long enough without getting tired, we're soon to ditch the 4th nap and then I think we can easily manage it. So far, we've just topped and tailed and washed hair from time to time, and have given occasional baths earlier in the day to see how she copes. She's been fine with it on these trials, but this week I've had DH around so have done it a bit more in preparation for dropping the 4th nap soon and changing BT around a bit to incorporate a bath and a top up feed just before PD. But now she's decided that she hates the bath and just screams
so... What would you do? Just give up on the idea of a bath being part of BT and keep doing it as and when I get around to it earlier in the day (realistically probably just once a week) so that the screaming doesn't happen just before bed, and then hope that she changes her mind about it and then incorporate it into BT? How badly do they really need regular baths anyway? DS has had one every night since he was just a few weeks old (where possible), but I felt we started too soon as he was always OT by BT. Any suggestions?
