13m looong days
« on: November 09, 2014, 04:17:08 am »
DD has been making the transition to 1 nap for a few months but with her increasing A times, days are getting awfully long when she takes her CN, even when capped at 20m. She is currently at 4.45 A time and for a last few days, I have let her lengthen her nap to 1.50-2hrs (capped) and dropped the CN. Is what I'm doing ok or am I going to get an OT baby?

Today's EAS
WU 7
S 1145-1350
A 1350-1920
BT 1920
NW 2x

She usually WU at 8 but I am trying to night wean her and when she had her third NW because she wanted to BF, she didn't go back to sleep  ::)

Personally when first on one nap I never capped it, that way I could kind of judge what they would do and how it worked for the day as a whole. But otherwise it looks like your day was just over 12 hours which is pretty normal. We do 13 hr days at 14 months, and have been for a long time because that is what suits DD3.
