Hi, again ;) I have been observing her days in this 3/2 transition and have again more questions ;)))
How can I keep her WU the same every day? I read here that it should be stable every day. But one day she is up at 8 one day at 6.... How can I keep the same? And I was wondering if this is a good idea to wake her up since she is OT from two 40 min naps and frequent wakening at night. If I wake her, she is OT from the start and yawning and fussy, then I extend her  morning A time and she gets only 40 min because she is OT at this point maybe?
Then if she sleeps longer during her second nap, her bedtime is shifted also....
Mostly I try to keep the same BT but even with that she wakes up sometimes at 5:30, after which I let her sleep longer of course.
So, I am confused as to how to keep all things in such a strict schedule especially when she is tired...It is like a cycle it seems.
THanks for your help!
Olha

Sorry for having to wait so  long for my reply. It's just mad at my work right now.

I think expecting 3:30 for a 8mo won't be anything unusual. Have you seen that?
Average A times- BOOKMARK ME!
So I would still say her naps are rather UT not OT, and after 2 UT naps you have an OT baby. I would push her first A as much as possible. WU is never the same Honey so you may either chose to count A in the morning from the moment she really woke up (it's difficult sometimes as you may not know when she really woke up!) or you may go for set first nap counting from the moment you start the day. We usually start the day at 7am here - every WU before is treated as a NW, and at 7am I just go into his room and wake him if needed or just say hello.

NW - please post here or if you want start a new thread.

HI Martii85,
wow.....what a week...
Thanks for your help in WU issue. I was really confused as to how these moms do the same WU every morning? It is hard since I have no idea what her real A time is then. It looks like sometimes it can be 4 hours and I have no idea....
Ever since I moved to a 3:30 A we didnt have any nap longer than 40 min ;(

How long should I try for this A time? If I don't get any longer nap should I increase A time again or shorten it? What do you think? Looks like 40 min will be UT naps?
And what is a reasonable A time before bed after two short naps? Sometimes I put her down after only 2hrs A time before BT and she is up before midnight (OT awakenings?), sometimes not. I am wondering if most moms figured out the best time in that case? ;)

Our difficult nights turned into more difficult nights again. Not sure if short naps are the issue. It looks like it is more of yet another Wonder Week thing....
She has a DF, and two night feeds. And 3-4 wakenings in between.... We wanted to reduce the amount of her middle feed (less time on the breast) and to stretch the feeds to 4 hours which slowly would turn in to 5 hours.... (our DREAM!!!)
Yesterday she woke up 3 hours after her BT feed and did not go back to sleep until I fed her an hour later.  (should I really be so crazy in delaying her? She is not sleeping well and here I am trying to do an impossible and depriving her of so much needed sleep....? I think it worked only two times when she didnt wake up for DF and I fed her with a 4hrs break in her sleep)

The next feed after a DF again I try to do 4 hours apart (little success with that as she is mostly up after 3 hours, goes back to sleep  (sh/pat) for 10 min, up again, sleep 10 min, up again.....then I feed her at a 4 hour mark and she is sound asleep.) Plus this is the feed that I am trying to reduce. It looks like since Ive started reducing she wakes up sooner after that, like in 2 hours.  We sh/pat and she is asleep for maybe 30 min and up again acting hungry....
So, I am really confused if I am doing the right thing with the night weaning....maybe she is not ready to stop these two NF?

So, if I reduce her feed in the night, should I feed her sooner after that, lets say in 2-3 hours?
Also, sometimes after these night feeds she wakes up hungry in the morning and wants to eat 3 hours after the last NF. Sometimes not hungry until 4 hours mark after the last NF.....

Hope my questions make sense. If needed, move my night questions to the NW board...
Thank you so much for your help!!!
