2 month old - 5hr nap
« on: July 14, 2015, 19:56:30 pm »
I'm wondering if it's normal for my 2 month old to be making for 5 hours. He usually is awake by 7:30 our so, we feed (breastfed), I do my daycare run with the older one if it's a day care day, and usually by 9am, he's ready for a nap. He's been waking after 1-1.5hrs, but nurses and goes right back to sleep. Yesterday it was 5 hrs and I had to wake him up to feed him before an appointment of mine.

He sleeps okay at night. 8ish asleep until midnight or 1am, nurse, then asleep until 5:30 ish, nurse, and back to sleep until 7:30ish.

Is the 5 hr nap okay? It's only been a couple days, I figure it might change on it's own, it just seems crazy to me. My first was a horrible 20 min napper for the longest time, so this is one extreme to the other for me.

Any illness brewing?  It does sound like an awfully long nap....I'm assuming he's had another nap or two in the afternoon as well?

Yes he tends to do a few short ones in the afternoon and evening. Doesn't seem to have any signs of illness. Think I should be waking him?  He seems so peaceful!
