Hello ladies,
I need help with my dd. She is 14 weeks old and eats every 2,5 hrs. I didn't push longer because I thought I need to squeeze as many feeds as possible into her during the day. Her naps are 30 min unless I extend , then she naps for 2 hrs.
She had a growth spurt 7 days ago and since then wakes every 2,5 hrs at night also !! Eats normally!
I just was searching the browser here and realized that her frequent feedings could be the reason she wakes up at night 4 times because she snacks during the day.
She is EBF and I was wondering if it's smart to extend to 3 or 3,5 hrs feeds. Right now she is screaming after 1,5 hr feed because I am putting her down for her nap and she probably wants to eat. In the past I tried to feed her in the middle of activity time as I thought she got hungry before nap.
The only stretch we get is 4 hrs in the morning after the last feed at 7 am. She can sleep 4 hrs after that feed if I don't wake her . If she is up, she wants to eat after 2,5 hrs stretch.
How do I extend her if she screams before nap? And then she has short naps...
Sorry probably this question was asked already. I just feel like many babies who are bottle fed have this perfect 4 hrs schedule and sttn at this age.
And was considering adding formula at night to get her to eat only once or twice at night. Not 4 times after the bedtime!
Thank you so much for your help!!!=
