Wean off of bottle
« on: August 28, 2005, 22:20:01 pm »
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how to wean off of the bottle? My dd turns one in two weeks and we will be switching to milk then. I tried to put formula in her sippy cup yesterday for an afternoon feeding and she wouldn't touch it. Any ideas??

Does she know how to drink out of a sippy?

We dropped all bottles cold turkey right after Ewan's first birthday.  Although we did know that he knew how to use a sippy.  It really only took him one day to forget about the bottles and then he was fine.

HTH

She loves her sippy cup but with water. She has been using it since 6 months.

Well you still have some time before she is one so you could just start offering her the formula/milk in a sippy and cut back on bottles so that you only have one left to cut out later. :D
