When do I introduce meat?
« on: November 24, 2005, 16:45:16 pm »
Hi
My DS is on 2 meals a day at the moment.
One is a breakfast and the other is either a mixed vegetable or fruit puree.
At what stage can I introduce meat? ... can I puree it into the veg or do I wait til he is on lumpier foods?

Thanks for help
Linda

When do I introduce meat?

I introduced protein at six months; I started with chicken and lentils and just pureed them into the veg. The best thing I did was for a few days dilute the veg with chicken stock (home-made, no salt etc...) just to get her used to the flavour and then I actually added the chicken. A months later I am now on beef and lamb. Doing pork next.
