Yesterday we switched to the health check bottles that are made by Parent's Choice. These are basically the Walmart generic form of the Dr. Brown's bottles. We switched because we have major spit ups here. So far, we have had no spit up which is great. The problems is, these bottles are extremely slow. We are using stage 3 nipple and it is taking 30-40 minutes to finish an 8 oz. bottle. Does anyone else have this problem? Are there any ways that I can get the flow faster? I really want to keep using these bottles, but LO is getting frustrated that they are so slow.

Thanks!!

Is stage 3 the fastest flow??  That would be my suggestion, to go up a nipple size, but man if you're already using the fastest ones I don't know ??? .  I know that Dr. Brown bottles have a variable speed nipple that controls the flow depending on how fast the child is sucking.  It has a bit of a 'Y' shaped cut instead of a hole for the milk to come through.  I wonder if Dr. Brown nipples would be compatible with the bottles you are using?

Yes, stage three is the fastest. It actually has three settings on the one nipple. You just turn it to get a different flow. I have tried all three positions and it's the same. I might try one of the Dr. Brown's and see what happens.

Thanks!
