Suggestions for an outdoor play pen?

I'd love to bring DS outside with me while I work on our yard. Any suggestions for an outdoors playpen? Ideally something with sides, fairly sturdy, but collapsible. Not necessarily and outdoor pack 'n' play, but anything else?

I saw one in the Sears catalogue that looks collapsible. It's called a portable indoor/outdoor superyard and is a hexagon (6-sided) shape. There's no bottom to it, but you could lay a comfy blanket down. It opens at the corners like a baby gate. I don't have one myself, but it looks pretty good.

We are going to get a small pool for DD to play in - either inflatable sides or the hard sided kind. I'm sure that sometimes we'll put water in it, but just as often, we'll just put some toys in it for her. At least until she learns to crawl...

Great idea, Casey! We have a cheapo pool that we got at Walmart. I'm sure with a little padding, and sitting in the shade, that would be great! Thanks so much for the idea

me too on the small pool - ours is outside and with some balls in it so she can play with them or they can be replaced with water if I am with her. it's fab.

I find that my DD does very well just crawling around on a blanket on the grass. She's not wild about the texture of the grass on her hands and feet, so she generally stays on the blanket -- or crawls around a bit. Provided you don't have any major hazards in your yard or things you need to keep hin away from, you can definitely just stick him on a blanket and let him have some fun!

I have an Eddie Bauer play pen which I take everywhere. She sleeps in it at work with me, over to friends, outside etc. It's great nad very portable. You can buy netting for overtop if there are mosquitos or whatever.
My problem now is DD is pulling to standing and finds it really fun to pull on the mesh and netting.
She which she prefers-holes in the net or Ontario sized mosquitoes
