HELP Please
« on: April 30, 2006, 10:37:55 am »

We are at our wits end at the moment with Tom Tom and really do not know what to do

Last night was MIL and FIL's 50th Wedding anniversary and we had a party - We had to leave Tom Tom with a friend while we were there - Needless to say he would not settle and screamed most of the night.  When we went to go and fetch him he was alseep on the couch, but woke up about 10 minutes later and started screaming.  When he saw me he settled down and started laughing.

When we got home and tried to settle him down he went off to sleep no problem - about 10 minutes later he woke up screaming again - I know he was tired as his eyes were still closed and he was still screaming.  Anyway, I spent the whole night trying to resettle him and him waking up every 10 - 20 minutes.  Eventually we gave him some more meds at 4:45 this morning and he went to sleep.

He woke up at 9:00 this morning and I gave him his breakfast - he refused his morning bottle AGAIN and wolfed down his cereal.  He played for about an hour or so and started showing signs that he was tired.  I took him upstairs and put him in his cot, and it sounded like he had gone off to sleep and then he started screaming again - It has taken about an hour and a half now to resettle him and he is eventually asleep - I stuck to my guns and did not bring him downstairs.  The thing is now he is asleep but he is still crying in his sleep.

I know that last night was probably very strange for him, but the thing is that he has been doing this even before hand.  I know that he is teething, but have given him everything and anything I possibly can to ease the pain, but nothing reall seems to work.

I am battling to get milk in him now - Sometimes only about 4 oz at a time.  Most of the time I have to get him to sleep before I can actually get the bottle in his mouth.

Can anyone please give me some advice on what to do?

i am also going to try and post this in some of the forums and see what replies I can get.

Thanks for your advice

What are you using to ease the teething pain?

Hi Lauren

We have tried everything - Bonjela, Ashton on Palmers Teething Powders, Anbesol, Calpol, Nurofen, and nothing seems to settle him.
