Yawning after naps
« on: May 22, 2006, 05:55:53 am »
My 11 weeks old DD is often yawning as she wakes up while feeding. Does this mean that she's already tired or only trying to inhale more air? Today she yawned after a 3 hours nap(!). I'm always afraid of missing her tireness signs (as she's been having troubles with her day naps), but it also seems unreasonable to put her right back to sleep after such a long nap (and feeding).

Thanks,
Tuty

I often yawn shortly after waking up too! If she's taken a good nap and seems happy I wouldn't worry about it - just see what happens as you move along through the feeding and A time and keep an eye on things.
