Morning nap question
« on: May 19, 2006, 15:17:52 pm »
Hello

Doesn't Tracy say that the morning nap is an extension of nightime sleep and thus is the shortest nap of the day?  My 7 month old sleeps between 11 and 12 hours per night.  I have noticed that I am stretching it when I try to keep her awake for 2 hours before her morning nap.  I put her down today after 2 hours and she went right to sleep.  She has been sleeping now for 2 1/2 hours.  I have noticed this is becoming a pattern with her.

Afternoon naps are sometimes just as long or maybe a little shorter.  Could it be that she just requires more sleep than other 7 month olds? At Daycare (she goes 4 days per week), she is much more stimulated it seems and naps aren't as long as they are at home.  Is she trying to catch up on naps she doesn't take at daycare?

TIA ;D
