Need quick help with 4 week old
« on: May 17, 2006, 22:15:50 pm »
Our day today is been too hectic and poor DS is exhausted. So our day today starts about 6, eat about 6.30, then 9;12;2;4:45. And between all this he is been sleeping, in the morning 20 min, after this again 30 min, then 45 and then 30 min again. So its 6 right now and he is finally sleeping. and I am torn as what to do about rest of the day. Try o take it as bed time , as nap and try to wake him?All his of course is case if he is not waking up himself. I am just too overwhelmed and DS surely too and I do not know why he is crying so much today, one moment he seems in pain and other moment perfectly happy.  :-\

those first few weeks are very rough.  those memories are happily fading from my mind.  there were times when the crying drove me batty, that's for sure.

in those early days, A time of 45 minutes (or even less) is very normal.  they do sleep a lot.  after the first couple of months they start to be awake a little bit longer.
